Dop e Igp italiane: il nuovo rapporto Ismea-Qualivita, pubblicato a febbraio 2022, segnala una buona resistenza della Dop Economy di fronte alla pandemia, con numeri soltanto in lieve calo.
Il XIX Rapporto di Ismea e Qualivita sul settore italiano dei prodotti Dop e Igp (Rapporto pubblicato a febbraio 2022 e relativo all’anno 2020) fotografa una situazione incoraggiante per il settore della Dop Economy italiana (ovvero dei prodotti food & beverage Made in Italy tutelati dall’Unione Europea come prodotti a denominazione d’origine: Dop – Denominazione di origine protetta; Igp – Indicazione geografica protetta; Stg – Specialità tradizionale garantita).
Nonostante il Covid, nel 2020 i prodotti Dop – Igp – Stg italiani (841 prodotti, con 286 consorzi e circa 200mila operatori di filiera) hanno generato nel complesso un valore alla produzione di 16,6 miliardi di euro, pari al 19% dell’intero fatturato dell’agroalimentare italiano, con un calo soltanto del 2% rispetto al 2019, e con export che è rimasto praticamente invariato (-0,1%) rispetto al 2019, raggiungendo quota 9,5 miliardi di euro, che equivale al 20% delle esportazioni food & beverage italiane.
I comparti più importanti della Dop Economy italiana sono: i formaggi (valore alla produzione di 4,2 miliardi di euro, pari al 57% del totale food Dop, Igp e Stg, ma con un calo del 7,8% nel 2020 rispetto al 2019); i prodotti a base di carne (valore alla produzione di 1,9 miliardi di euro, quota pari al 26%); i prodotti ortofrutticoli (valore alla produzione di 404 milioni di euro). Il cibo Dop, Igp e Stg registra complessivamente, nel 2020, un valore alla produzione di 7,3 miliardi (in calo del 3,8% sul 2019), con un export in crescita (3,9 miliardi, pari a un +1,6% rispetto al 2019). Poi, ovviamente, ci sono i vini Dop e Igp (ovvero Doc, Docg e Igt), con un valore alla produzione di 9,3 miliardi, in lieve calo (-0,6%) rispetto al 2019, e con un export vinicolo che ha toccato quota 5,6 miliardi di euro (con una flessione dell’1,3% rispetto al 2019).
Quali sono le regioni italiane leader nella Dop Economy? Al primo posto troviamo il Veneto (3,7 miliardi di euro di valore 2020 alla produzione per i prodotti Dop, Igp e Stg), seguito dall’Emilia-Romagna (3,3 miliardi), dalla Lombardia (2,1 miliardi), dal Piemonte (1,4 miliardi), e dalla Toscana (1,15 miliardi).
